Warming Centres in Montreal: Call 211

Montreal, December 4, 2025 – As announced this morning by the City of Montreal, 500 spaces will be made available in warming centres by the end of December 2025, providing people experiencing homelessness with a place to get relief from the extreme cold. In addition, several shelters and emergency housing options will be opening to help address the significant social challenges we are currently facing.

We encourage you to call 211 or chat at 211qc.ca to obtain the contact information for these shelters. While our website is updated regularly, there may be a few days between the announcement of an opening and its posting on our site. However, our team of advisors has real-time, up-to-date information.

We would also like to remind you that 211 can help you find resources for food assistance, clothing, and other essential goods that may support you during a difficult time.
