* Support for workers and employers in their efforts to eliminate hazards in their workplace.

* Inspection of workplaces.

* Promotion of occupational health and safety.

* Compensation for workers who suffered an occupational injury.

* Rehabilitation of workers who, because of an occupational injury, suffered a permanent impairment of physical or mental integrity.
