Eligibility

people living with a spinal cord injury, financial support: people 5 years and older living with a spinal cord injury not related to a congenital disease or abnormality, permanently using a manual or motorized wheelchair that has been granted by a recognized paying agent such as the SAAQ, RAMQ or other, and having the ability to live independently in their own home, with or without assistance services

Application process

financial support: complete the online application form

Documents required

financial support: documents confirming that a request for adaptation is in progress with a paying agency or with the Home Adaptation Program (HAP) managed by the SHQ, medical attestation from a recognized health professional confirming the presence of a spinal cord injury, attestation of an allocation of a manual or motorized wheelchair by the RAMQ or a recognized paying agency, photocopy of birth certificate or permanent residence card, two detailed quotes for the adaptation project from RBQ-accredited contractors, copy of the lease (if tenant) with written authorization from the landlord or copy of the municipal tax bill (if owner-occupant)
