Organization of intercultural rapprochement through various projects.
- Accompaniment of people from immigrant backgrounds in order to facilitate their integration into the host society, and more specifically to people with precarious status (asylum seekers, refugees, undocumented migrants, etc.).
- Personalized, free and confidential referral services to help newcomers find resources for housing, food aid, financial aid, employment, legal advice, access to healthcare, information on individual and working rights, etc.
- Assistance and support in the legal process for immigrants.
- Mobilization and citizen involvement: popular education on intercultural communication and multi-ethnic contexts, creation of tools for intercultural rapprochement.
- Femmes-relais and Hommes-relais interculturels: professional integration program for immigrant women and men in order to train them to accompany the newcomers.
- Service point for issuing identity and residence cards for people with no or precarious status.
- Support for francization: discussion workshops in French.
- Support for organizations and schools to facilitate the inclusion of immigrants.
Eligibility
immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees, organizations, people with precarious status and undocumented migrants, organizations, individuals and community stakeholders, businesses, schools, general population, identity cards: people with tourist or temporary resident status who have not renewed of their tourist visa, study permit or work permit and have not left Canada, people whose refugee claim has been refused, people who entered Canada illegally, trans people awaiting new identification documents, people experiencing homelessness
