Application of the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
* Reception of complaints related to discrimination and harassment as governed by the Charter and related to the exploitation of elderly or disabled persons.
* Protection of children's rights as defined by the Youth Protection Act and by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, investigation when rights seem to have been violated.
* Application of the Access to Equality in Employment Act in public organizations.
* Information sessions on rights and freedoms under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as well as on the rights of children under the Youth Protection Act.

Covid-19: For complaints, use email plainte@cdpdj.qc.ca or postal mail, rather than the telephone. To make a request for intervention for a child or youth who may have suffered a rights injury write to jeunesse@cdpdj.qc.ca or call 1-800-361-6477, option 3. All in-person training sessions are suspended until further notice. However, the Education-Cooperation team is still at work and can provide distance services in various formats to groups, email education@cdpdj.qc.ca for more information. Some other services and activities may also be affected. Those affected will be notified as appropriate. 30/7/2021
