Prevention and safety

* Support for workers and employers in their efforts to eliminate hazards in their workplace.

* Inspection of workplaces.

* Promotion of occupational health and safety.

* Compensation for workers who suffered an occupational injury.

* Rehabilitation of workers who, because of an occupational injury, suffered a permanent impairment of physical or mental integrity. Pay equity

* Front-line telephone service to answer general questions on the application of the Loi sur l'équité salariale.

* Specialized assistance to understand more complex or technical aspects of the law.

* Pay equity audit program: investigations to ensure that companies are complying with their pay equity obligations.

* Development of tools and training courses accessible free of charge in all regions of Québec.

* Research activities. Labour standards

* Information on labour standards and obligations under the law and regulations.

* Registration of complaints.

* Mediation for employees or employers concerned by a complaint of psychological harassment, wrongful dismissal or prohibited practice.
