Services

Ensures that incapacitated people are protected, their autonomy safeguarded and their rights respected, while supporting their families and loved ones in their duties.* Find a territorial office of The Public Curator: www.quebec.ca/en/government/departments-agencies/curateur-public/contact-details/regional-directorates* Telephone on-call service for urgent interventions.* Infolettre Bien protéger ensemble: receive information on the protection of people in vulnerable situations.* Recognizes assistants to adults, in particular by analyzing applications and maintaining a public register of recognized assistants.* Monitors the management of assets by guardians.* Informs represented and assisted persons of the rules that apply to them.* Informs assistants, guardians, temporary representatives and mandataries of their obligations.* Raise public awareness of the issues related to incapacity and inform people of the means available to protect incapacitated persons.* Accompany people experiencing difficulties.* Acts as guardian, guardianship council or temporary representative by court order if the person is isolated, has no family or those close to him or her are unable to assume this role.* Receipt of applications for emancipation of a minor: www.quebec.ca/en/justice-and-civil-status/legal-protection/tutorship-property-minor/persons-involved/minor
